American Idol Kris Allen

Hello and welcome to my American Idol Kris Allen page. By scrolling down you can catch up with my comments regarding how I believe Allen's victory relate with his strong Christian faith. Feel free to post your own comments.

The only comment worth posting now is that I just don't see Allen getting punched Boom Boom Pow style like Perez Hilton. I hope Hilton's comments will finally catch up to him (especially those regarding Carrie Prejean) if it didn't last night in Toronto. Then again, the judgment is His from up above.

Anyway, read more below on American Idol Kris Allen. Cheers!

Kris Allen and AT&T

I'm pretty sure you may have found out by now about the "role" AT&T had on Kris Allen's win. According to TIME magazine AT&T provided phones for free text-messaging services at two Allen parties in Arkansas on the night of the finals. They showed fans how to "power text", that is, sending 10 votes at a time with one-touch ease, thus "violating" American Idol rules.

However, the article does not say whether AT&T reps deliberately went out of their way no matter what to tutor fans, or if fans knew about power-texting before hand and/or wanted to learn how to send multiple texts before AT&T reps responded and showed them. It also seems that the reps did not barge into the party, but that they were invited. Who knows, maybe their invitation by fans was part of a diligent strategy?

But Adam Lambert fans are now more infuriated than ever, claiming that the American Idol Kris Allen did not deserve his "rigged" win. There was no mention of any similar invitation to any Lambert parties (who knows, perhaps they know how to power text in San Diego anyway?).

I still believe that Allen's win was in God's making. I am not extremely well-versed with the rules, though. I look forward to hearing your comments below.

American Idol Kris Allen

American Idol Kris Allen must still be in shock, just as American viewers were, from Wednesday's victory. I think it's for the best, and I really think God provided the victory due to his strong Christian faith. No, just being Christian does not provide a guarantee to success - a strong relationship is important.

I think it's also best for Adam Lambert, the runner-up (and overwhelming favorite to win from Day 1). I don't think too many fans would've wanted him to be sucked into a contract that required him to belt out "No Boundaries". Quite the reverse of his musical nature.

Still Allen remains humble of his victory and acknowledges Lambert (even Clay Aiken does as he admitted in his "apology" to Adam Lambert earlier).

Anyway, post your comments below. Love to hear from you, Cheers!

Idol Shocker

Folks are still reeling over Kris' stunning victory on Wednesday. I have provided reasons as to why he won - see below. But I would still love to hear your comments. Do you think America had it wrong? Should've Adam Lambert won? Or was there a divine reason for Kris Allen's win that was justified? Share your thoughts below!

American Idol Shocker

Again, concerning the winner of American Idol Kris Allen there have been some inflammatory comments, especially from Adam Lambert fans. True this is a shocking victory, but I stand behind my reasons regarding Allen won. In any case, I believe both of them (along with rest of the top six) should have some serious record deals in the near future. I sure hope the term "no boundaries" can refer to the Idol contestants' futures and not the song (no offense, Kara DioGuardi).

I would still love to hear some comments about this, so please feel free to post.

American Idol Kris Allen

Congratulations to the winner of yesterday's American Idol Kris Allen! I won't go into details on how shocking the victory was over Adam Lambert - I know you are just as stunned as me. This is especially since I believe he was outsung by Lambert on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, much less the rest of the season.

Now, it's not my right to judge anybody (after all I don't get paid the $263,000 per episode like Simon Cowell does). That said, I thought I'd provide my own opinion as to why I believe Allen won. I believe that his devout faith in Christianity has alot to do with it.

Remember how the newly crowned American Idol Kris Allen appeared quite self-less and magnanimous the day he auditioned for Season 8? Rather than responding to the typical "Do you think you can win American Idol?" with a typical "yes", he immediately humbled himself and claimed, "I think alot of people are better than me."

This selflessness could be confused with a lack of confidence. But not so. Being humble is a principle trait of Christianity - "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." Proverbs 16:18, NIV; "Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud." Proverbs 16:19, NIV. Therefore, in a nutshell, one should be humble, not overly proud, to receive God's blessings.

Needless to say, he was a worship leader in his church in Arkansas and, at the tender age of 23, has been to several countries - mostly in African and Asia - doing missionary work.

I'll bet that his family was praying alot for God to provide the right outcome in the AI8 contest. And praise the Lord! It was in His plan to declare underdog Allen the winner!

I would like to hear your comments regarding this on American Idol Kris Allen.
